Your Pets

Wow! We all have some pets that are part of the family that we can talk about, right?

What do you have? Dogs, cats, birds, rabbit, pigs, gerbils, maybe fish. Whatever they are tell us about them.

Pets will always love us unconditionally, they don't care what we look like, how we feel or what's going on in our life.

Animals are really cool creatures, they all have a personality all their own.

I have a potbelly pig and a dog.

First about the pig, she is a pot-belly pig and is 4yrs old. She weighs in at approximately 250lbs.

Her name is "Lola" and she does live in the house, yep a house pig! House broke of course, she goes to the door and just stares at it when she wants to go out.

Talk about a personality, she doesn't like anyone but me, she's not very social at all. Pigs have a hierarchy and I'm the head pig, then Lola is next in line and waaaaaaaay down is my husband. They don't like each other and I feel there is some jealousy there, but I'm not saying which one. My husband will tell you don't get a pig!!

Pigs are the fifth smartest animal on the planet so that can be very challanging raising one.

I have taught her some tricks that only took 15-20 minutes for her to get and she will never forget them.

She sits, stays, spins, bow, lays down, give you five or in her case four, and if you want a wet pig kiss she will do that too!

Lola also has a huge vocabulary and my husband and I will spell words like bones, peanuts, popcorn, grapes, tomatoes just some of her favorite treats.

One evening watching TV my husband wanted popcorn. Lola was asleep in her bed and when she heard the popcorn popping she quickly (quick for her) hopped out of bed came into the kitchen with her popcorn grunt and you know what I did, yes made her some to and then she went back to bed.

Our dog is 10months part heeler and speculatiion, name is Roxy. Of course she terrorizes the pig, jumps on her back or will jump back and forth over her and loves chewing on her ears or lick her bagel shaped nose. I bet you have some great dog stories to tell us about and some pics.

They will share the kiddie pool in the summer with Roxy splashing water on Lola's head and she does not like water on her face.

Lola has a food ball that she will roll on the deck for hours just to get one little pellet out of it and Roxy follows behind her to get the ones she misses.

Roxy will eat anything that Lola eats, carrots, tomatoes and even corn on the cob.

Have to have a vet or a farrier out to trim her hooves, is that fun! She'll squeal like we're killing her, the pic below shows the vet and he knocked her out! Smart.......

Pic of Lola rolling her food ball around on the deck.

Now that's a few stories of mine, how about yours?

Also put in some pictures with your story.
